Balance bikes and strider racing have opened up a whole new niche market which has been going strong for a few years now. The bikes that are designed without cranks allow younger riders to develop their balance and bike handling skills before introducing pedalling. It means riders are developing so fast that they are now ready to race at a very young age. And since those riders are now starting younger than ever there’s a need for even smaller parts than what has been offered in the past.

California based Turn3 have jumped into this market early and started making high grade alloy CNCd cranks for the Micro Riders less than 2 month ago. The cranks are now available in lengths that have never been on the market before, 100mm to 135mm.  According to Turn3 “No one has ever made a 100mm bmx crank set nor a 110mm.”

The owner of Turn3 is a father of 4 boys and a 5th on the way. He has an 8x (expert), a 6i (intermediate) a 4 novice and a 2 strider riders. They have been racing less than a year.
